As interest grows in the expanding field of stem cell research, areas such as regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and basic stem cell biology necessitate a reliable cost-effective cell-based tool for use in discovery and design projects. Adipose-derived adult stem cells and their unique differentiation properties can be utilized in any number of research applications and offer decided benefits over similar multipotent cell types.
Adipose tissue is typically in greater supply enabling ample sourcing for isolation and production of adult stem cells - at a fraction of the cost for bone marrow-derived counterparts while maintaining similar markers and characteristics. Adult stem cells offer another more subtle benefit allowing scientists to circumvent the ethical issues normally associated with employing embryonic stem cells in biomedical research.
Cells have been tested for performance in viability, ECOD, 7-HCG, and 7-HCS assays. Cells have tested negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HTLV-1, HTLV-2, HbsAG, HbcAB, HCV, and RPR. Cells are tested for CMV some CMV positive lots are released for experiments.
Specially formulated media is available for the plating and maintenance of our cells.
